Beyond Awareness. Into Practice.
Building a workplace where neurodivergent employees can actually thrive.
The Challenge
The organization wanted a shared foundation for supporting neurodivergent employees—one that went beyond recognizing differences and toward creating environments where people could thrive.
They'd been through training before. It left employees feeling exposed rather than supported and offered few practical tools for managers and teammates.
The Partnership
SOS designed a multi-module experience that moved from paradigm to practice.
Participants examined their own assumptions, built fluency around neurodivergence, explored strengths as well as challenges, and worked through workplace situations from multiple perspectives.
The training ultimately moved into concrete application: Universal Design for Learning principles, specific accommodations, and engagement strategies that could be put into practice immediately.
What Changed
Participants reported that the experience was more informative and actionable than their previous training, with several putting new strategies into practice within a day.
More importantly, the work didn't end when the training did.
The organization incorporated the material into its onboarding process, embedding neuro-inclusion into the experience of every new employee rather than treating it as a one-time initiative.
